A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the result. Millbrae Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those search terms on its own servers. A message sent through contact channels is visible to the extent of its contents and is used to respond.
Routine Technical Logs
Hosting providers may record an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and time stamps in ordinary server logs. Those figures are reviewed in aggregate for reliability and page use. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and, where relevant, advertising measurement.
How the Data Is Used
The limited technical information supports site operation, troubleshooting, traffic counts, and page improvement. Visitor lists are not sold, and individual user profiles are not built from this information.
External Portals and Links
Pages point to county and state record portals, libraries, archives, and outside search services. Once a link is followed, the destination's privacy policy governs the information submitted there. Sponsored results are supplied by a third-party company and follow its own terms.
Possible Recipients
Hosting and support vendors may process the server logs described above. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the related automatic data where those tools operate. Disclosure also occurs when valid legal process requires it; otherwise, visitor information is not shared beyond these service functions.
Security and Retention
The site uses an encrypted connection. Logs are retained only for the operating needs described above. There are no user accounts here, so this service does not hold a password or personal profile for a visitor to expose.
Visitors Under 18
Millbrae Residents Directory is intended for adults and is not directed to children. Personal information from anyone under 18 is not knowingly collected. If a minor has sent information, contact us so the limited material can be reviewed and deleted.
California Privacy Choices
California Civil Code §1798.100 et seq., including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended, can provide qualifying consumers rights to know, correct, delete, and opt out of sale or sharing, subject to exceptions. Because this service keeps little visitor information, a request normally concerns the contact mailbox or a relevant server log. Use the Contact page to ask. California's DROP platform can direct deletion requests to registered data brokers, but it does not erase county deeds, court files, assessment rolls, or archives.
Records held by Millbrae, San Mateo County, or another California custodian are outside this service's control. Correction or access requests for those materials go to the office that maintains the record. The California Public Records Act, Government Code §§7920.000-7931.000, governs public-record requests to state and local agencies, subject to its exemptions.
